OUR STORY
IT STARTED WITH OUR KIDS
Back in 2001, we wanted to protect our four fair-skinned kids from the sun, but UV swimwear was basically non-existent in the U.S. We were buying swimwear from Australia, but our kids did not want to wear it because it was uncomfortable and "not cool".
So, a light bulb went off and Tuga (pronounced "too-ga") was born! We created a line of colorful, super comfy beachwear that kids actually want to wear. We now design swimwear for everyone. We're still family owned and operated.
We love helping families build smart sun habits. Skin cancer is the most common cancer in the U.S., and did you know that just five sunburns can double your risk for melanoma. And at least 1 in 5 Americans will develop skin cancer by age 70. We are here to change those stats with awesome gear so you can protect your skin while living your best beach life!
